Welcome to the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce ConneXions Program—your starting point for increased visibility, connectivity, and sales. If you are a Chamber member, take a few moments to become acquainted with the various ways you can improve your networking power. If you’re not a member, and would like to find out more about how we can help meet your business needs, click here.
Business Profile—Members may improve their chances for new business by completing the Chamber’s new online business profile. This extended business information is available to members and nonmembers through the chambers online Business Directory. The Chamber’s Business Development Committee had extensive conversations with large corporate product and service decision makers and identified the critieria they would need to preview and pre-qualify vendors. From these conversations the ConneXions Business Profile was developed and is now available. The Business Development Committee will continue to coordinate with these decision makers to promote the Chamber Business Directory as the resource for their local buying decisions. Taking the time to complete the profile gives you an advantage in the process and provides Chamber staff and members the information they need to generate accurate referrals. The Chamber’s web site averages a quarter million hits per month— most from the Seacoast area. The more information you provide in your business profile, the better your chances of making that ConneXion. For an example of the business profile, click here. Year of ConneXions Seminars—In 2006, the Business Development Committee Year of Series will focus on how to improve your networking and marketing skills. Networking for ConneXions – Fear to Fun will take place March 16 at NH Community Technical College. Marketing for ConneXions – A Recipe for Success is set for April 20 also at NHCTC. Stay tuned to the Chamber’s home page and the Dividends newsletter for details on upcoming programs.

Some of those interest areas include: networking opportunities, seminars and workshops, community involvement and support, business-related legislation, committee work, sponsorship opportunities, your preferred method of contact and more. Armed with this information, the Chamber staff can help you take advantage of programs, services, and opportunities that are important to you. Member-to-Member Discount Program—Offering discounts to fellow members is a great way of networking and introducing colleagues to your products and services. The Portsmouth Chamber is one of the most diverse in New England. With the Chamber’s on line Business Directory and Coastline Magazine, many members have said they could probably find just about any product or service they need without having to shop a nonmember. Support your fellow members, raise your bottom line, and participate. In doing so, you’ll build a stronger local economy and forge an expanding network of business relationships. For a look at current discount offerings, click here.
Mid Day Meet—The Mid Day Meet was created in response to member requests for additional networking opportunities. Since its inception the program has continued to grow to what is now a “standing-room-only” crowd. The program, held the third Friday of every month, provides a way for you to make ConneXions with fellow Chamber members and to develop your sales and marketing skills. Click here for more background and mark your calendar to attend.
Chamber Committees & Events—In the Seacoast, most people do business with people they know. What better way to get to know the Seacoast business crowd than to volunteer on a Chamber committee or attend one of the many programs held throughout the year. Nearly every month the Chamber presents several opportunities for you to network and learn about local issues, other Seacoast businesses and best practices for success.
